Music Messenger was created in the belief that music is a universal language that has the ability to transcend the boundaries of culture, language, age, race and socio-economic background. Music Messenger also holds the conviction that music has the ability to embrace these human differences as well as express the humanity that connects all of us. Music Messenger offers its programs as a means of using music as a language through which to speak and express one's self.

Schools Without a Music Program | Schools With a Music Program

 

Method

• Common to each program is a "mini-concert" offered by Jennifer Koh which includes a demonstration of the instrument.
• Each program includes contrasting repertoire demonstrating a range of styles from different periods of classical music.
• Six different programs are offered for students of different ages and levels of musical exposure.
• These programs are then further adapted to offer the most effective and comprehensive musical exposure for children and young adults.

Although Music Messenger specializes in children and young adults, it also customizes its programs for each school's needs and is also available for any age group.

"When Jennifer Koh first walked into the door, I didn't know what to think. She seemed so conservative, it was like she was a completely different person once she started playing. I really liked having such a personal concert. I felt like I really got to know who she was as a person, and as an artist. I think that if I had just watched her play, I would have seen her as someone totally different than who she is. I think that this type of performance is good for kids our age because we get to see more of what it really is to be a professional musician."
